Real Estate Agents Are People 2

This site is designed to give Realtors, Real Estate Agents, Buyers, Home Owners or Want To Be Owners a place to sound off, laugh and cry, ask for advice or prayer - without the worry of being judged. This site will also have constant updates with information for assistance with foreclosures and the threat of foreclosures, bankruptcy, and all the financial strains and stresses associated with our current real estate market. The goal is to eventually have a Need Help page for each county in the US.
The idea for this site began with a need for advice and assistance that I, as a Realtor, had and could not find. My family and I were faced with the foreclosure of our "dream home". After over 11 years of a successful career in Real Estate, suddenly - thru several "disasters", we were faced with losing everything. I could not go to my co-workers. My husband and I realized that we were not alone, as we watched other Real Estate Agents in our area begin to declare Bankruptcy and lose everything they'd worked for. All I wanted was someone to yell at, someone to give me advice or at least send me in the right direction for advice, give me a pat on the back, someone to make me laugh, someone to say a prayer for me and my husband, someone to help me remember why I worked as a Realtor! In my case, I began to pray for help and I had a wonderful peace come over me. But that peace wasn't going to get me out of the predicament I was in! I needed sound advice from an outsider - practical help. I looked online and couldn't find anything on one central site. I spent hours researching sites for assistance. It may be too late for me, but hopefully I can help others. So here we are! For the others who visit this site out of curiosity or need, I hope I can help you as well. And I hope to help you realize that Real Estate Agents are people, too!
The original idea for this site began as I’ve explained. But in the course of developing my site, my husband expressed his concern about the safety issue of showing property in a time when we are all facing economic changes and challenges. As a result, the Agent Safety Alert was created. My husband was concerned about the recent increase in violence in our country. As the spouse of an active, licensed Realtor (me) who shows property regularly, he wanted a way for the entire Real Estate Community to be able to link together with warnings about predators, missing agents, attacks, etc. Although this is not a pleasant subject, we both feel the time has come to join forces with this large group. The goal is safety for all real estate agents. As a warning goes out in each community, it will be sent to my Agent Safety Alert and I will broadcast the warning all over the country. This Agent Alert will change and improve as we develop my website. Any suggestions you, the public has, will be welcomed. After all, the goal is to save a life or stop a predator. With this said, the next suggestion several people had was, "Why not include the Amber Alert as well?" With the potential for literally millions of people viewing this site, we hope to bring assistance to those who need the help.
